And may the great rivalry continue.
Ever since the days of the Hatfields and the McCoys, rivalries have been a cornerstone of American culture. Some become endlessly bitter feuds. Others, like the healthy competition between the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang, become a driving force for constant improvement. So for the past 50 years, the Camaro and Mustang have been battling it out in every aspect, with engineers on either side striving to find out how to make their’s better than the other. The Mustang was introduced as the first ever pony car in April 1964. Chevrolet answered with the Camaro three years later and the rivalry’s been strong ever since.
