First up we have our chains which many people may or may not know that these places have treats for your pup.

Starbucks

Probably the most known is the “Puppuccino” at Starbucks. No this “Puppuccino” doesn’t have any coffee in it, it’s just a doggy sized cup of whipped cream and it’s free!

Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts just like Starbucks has a doggy sized cup of whipped cream only Dunkin’ calls it the “Puppy Latte”.

Have a sweet tooth? Go grab yourself a Brusters sundae and while you’re there grab your pooch a “Doggie Sundae”. The “Doggie Sundae” is a dog sized vanilla sundae that might even be topped with a dog biscuit!

Sonic

One of the few drive-in restaurants, Sonic is the perfect place to bring your pup along! Some locations offer a doggy treat you just have to ask! If your location does not then you can get your furry friend a lick or two of your vanilla ice cream cone, or a plain no bread hot dog, grilled chicken or hamburger.

Chick-fil-A

At Chick-fil-A some locations offer doggy treats but if your location you can split an order of grilled chicken nuggets or a small vanilla ice cream cone.

3 Best Places to Take Your Dog in Wilmington, North Carolina

Let’s face it: Pets are family, and we want to make sure they always feel loved and appreciated. That’s why it’s important to pamper your cat around the house and take your dog on adventures outside of the house.

Many of our employees at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet are dog parents. According to them, these are the best places to take your dog in Wilmington:

  1. Wilmington Dog Park at Empie: Dogs are social creatures, so it’s important to let them play with other dogs under your supervision at a dog park. The Wilmington Dog Park is a great place to do just that. Set on two acres, this off-leash park has two distinct play areas—one for large dogs and one for small dogs.
  2. Abbey Nature Trail: Dogs love walks, especially in new places with exciting smells. Take your pooch out to Abbey Nature Trail along Highway 17 North. Set on 67 acres, this nature preserve offers up a 2.4-mile trail that takes you through the woods and over the mill pond.
  3. Entropy Boat Rentals: Does your dog love to swim? Consider this unique experience with the pet-friendly Entropy Boat Rentals, where you can ferry your dog over to a pet-friendly beach.

For more suggestions on ways to keep your pet happy in Wilmington, contact us at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet. We’ll also be happy to recommend the top pet-friendly vehicles we have in our inventory if you’re in need of a new ride.
