Wilmington NC Dealership to Donate $25 for Every Sale, School for Children with Autism Hold Art Auction
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the team at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet is working hard to help our local non-profit day school for children with autism, Oasis NC. Our General Manager has made a promise to donate $25 for every new and pre-owned vehicle we sell throughout the month of April to contribute to the school’s scholarship fund.
To help spread the word, the amazing kids of Oasis NC took time out of their very busy schedules last week, before they went on Spring Break, to stop by the dealership to check out some new Chevrolets, meet some of the dealership staff, and tell us a little more about their school. Painting Outside the Lines: An Auction for Autism
Starting on April 20th, 2017, Oasis NC will also be hosting their art auction through eBay featuring the students’ original masterpieces that they created on a field trip to Painting with a Twist. Throughout the month, the pieces are on display at Pinpoint Restaurant in downtown Wilmington but you can also check them out here:
100% of the funds raised during “Painting Outside the Lines” will go towards scholarships with students with ASD to attend a 4-week summer program at Oasis NC.

About Oasis NC
OASIS NC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in New Hanover County created by two special education teachers that provides services and support for children with autism and their families. Their regular school program helps children grades K-6. Other services provided include their Social Learning Program, Help-at-Home, STEM Club, Social Groups, Tutoring, and Summer Camp. The Million Dollar Different Not Less Golf Tournament
Saturday April 2nd, 2016 is worldwide Autism Awareness Day with the Light It Up Blue campaign where buildings and monuments across the country and globe will be lit up blue in support of Autism Awareness. Surfers Healing NC is hosting the “Different Not Less” golf tournament at Castle Bay Country Club in Hampstead, NC on Autism Awareness Day to benefit Surfers Healing and the surf camps for children and families with autism.
Jeff Gordon Chevrolet will be sponsoring the event, offering the chance for participants to win ONE MILLION DOLLLARS and a brand new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu! Registration for the tournament will begin at 8AM and will include golf cart, range balls, on-course beverages, breakfast, lunch, on-course contests, and prizes for best “Light It Up Blue” outfit. Start time will be at 9AM.

Half of Proceeds to Go Towards Buy The Bus! Campaign for Oasis NC
Oasis NC is a non-profit day school for autistic children in Wilmington, North Carolina. The school is currently running a campaign to raise funds to purchase a school bus that will allow the teachers to shuttle kids to their various activities around the city easily and more often. As partners in the autistic community, Surfer’s Healing will be donating half of the proceeds from the golf tournament to assist in Oasis NC’s cause. Jeff Gordon Chevy is also encouraging donations to the school, offering the chance to win a new Chevrolet Malibu for those who donate $50 or more. Click here to learn more about the Buy The Bus!
