2nd Annual Hunt for Hope Raises Over $4,600 for Preventative Cancer Screenings

On February 10th, 2018, Jeff Gordon Chevrolet hosted its Second Annual Hunt for Hope to benefit New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Project with the goal to raise funds to provide preventative cancer screenings to local women in need. Proceeds from team registration fees, sponsorships, and merchandise sales during and following the event amounted to a $4,603 donation total to the non-profit organization.

About The Hunt for Hope

Jeff Gordon Chevy’s Hunt for Hope ties relative themes of the automotive industry and racing with its commitment to make a positive impact and connection to the local Wilmington, NC and surrounding community. The event is a scavenger hunt by car in which participants are guided around the Port City to local businesses, completing a number of fun and entertaining challenges along the way. Teams have three hours to complete the circuit and collect as many points as they can before crossing the finish line. At the awards ceremony and after party, prizes are awarded for the top three placing teams, best team spirit, best team theme, and best social media post.

This year, the Hunt for Hope took place at Tavern on 17th across from the new Pointe 14 at Barclay movie theater with 22 participating teams of up to 5 members each, 6 pinpoint location sponsors, and a number of additional sponsors. The Pink Ribbon Project Hosts 2nd Annual Tickled Pink Bachelor Auction

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet was honored to once again provide the step & repeat and photography for the 2nd Annual Tickled Pink Bachelor Auction this past weekend, July 22nd, 2017! The community fundraising event was hosted for the second time at IronClad Brewery in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Auction
Twelve fantastic bachelors consisting of law enforcement officers, artists, business professionals, and more worked the runway asking for bids from the ladies in attendance. Each bachelor was accompanied with a pre-planned date set in the weeks following the event which was awarded to their highest bidders. Proceeds from the 2nd Annual Tickled Pink Bachelor Auction benefited NHRMC Foundation’s The Pink Ribbon Project to help provide uninsured women of southeastern North Carolina access to mammography screenings, comfort to those undergoing cancer treatment and community awareness of cancer and the benefits of early diagnosis.

1st Annual Hunt for Hope Raises Over $4,000 to Benefit NHRMC Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Project

Funds Donated To Provide Mammograms for Local Women in Need In Honor of National Cancer Prevention Month

In its first year, the Hunt for Hope Scavenger Hunt raised $4,250 to pay for local women’s cancer screenings through NHRMC Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Project.

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet partnered with local cancer non-profit Love is Bald to host Hunt for Hope – A Love is Bald Scavenger Hunt.  On Saturday, February 13th, twelve pre-registered teams took to the streets of Wilmington in a first of its kind scavenger hunt by car.

The teams had three hours to complete a random series of puzzles that took them to secret locations around Wilmington.  Bonus challenges were given throughout the day for opportunities to win extra points.  Hunt for Hope partnered with many local businesses that acted as “secret locations”  throughout the scavenger hunt, providing teams with surprises at every stop.  The after-party and awards ceremony was held at Halligan’s Public House on Masonboro Loop Road, and the top three placing teams walked away with tickets to concerts, local events and custom made medals.  Prizes were also given to the teams and individuals that won Best Dressed Competitor, Best Dressed Vehicle, Best Team Spirit, and Best Social Media Post.

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet Joins NHRMC’s Pink Ribbon Project for Another Successful Event to Benefit Local Cancer Services

The inaugural Tickled Pink Bachelor Auction supporting NHRMC Foundation’s The Pink Ribbon Project was not only fun, but a tremendous success! Thanks to all of the attendees and supporters, The Pink Ribbon Project was able to raise $9,263 in additional funds!

Held at Ironclad Brewery in Historic Downtown Wilmington, the Bachelor Auction showed off the talents of 12 local bachelors, including Hoggard High School’s own Connor Barth.  Jeff Gordon Chevrolet got in on the fun by hosting the step and repeat along with Events by P3.

Wilmington Hammerheads FC Pink Out

Hammerheads Sport Their Pink Jerseys in Support of the Pink Ribbon Project this Saturday, August 22nd

The Hammerheads are hosting their annual Pink Jersey Auction with proceeds benefiting the New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Project, helping local women – without insurance or other financial resources – by providing mammography screenings, diagnostics, comfort items and spiritual support. The jerseys for auction are worn by the players during the annual ‘Pink Out’ match at Legion Stadium on Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 PM.
